Thank you, Demigods!

The Tower of Nero tour was a great success! Thanks to your enthusiastic support, every event was sold out, and thousands upon thousands of signed copies were shipped along with special commemorative Cabin 13 caps! It was especially great to see so many people attending from across the US and across the world — folks who usually would not get to see an event because they don’t live in one of the hosting cities. That was definitely an “upside” to these virtual events. Thanks also to the hosting bookstores, who worked tirelessly to ship so many books across the world to all the fans. You guys are the true heroes! Also because of the support of the fandom, The Tower of Nero (as part of the Trials of Apollo series) debuted at #1 on the New York Times list! An excellent way to wrap up the fifteen-book PJO-universe story arc.

If you didn’t get to join us on the tour, Disney Publishing is working on posting some video clips. As soon as those are ready, we’ll let you know! You can also check readriordan.com to read about some of the tour highlights.

Huge congratulations also to Kwame Mbalia, whose second Tristan Strong adventure also debuted on the New York Times bestseller list! If you haven’t started this series yet, grab a copy asap!

Next up from Rick Riordan Presents will be City of the Plague God by Sarwat Chadda, coming January 12! This high-flying adventure brings you Mesopotamian mythology in modern New York, and a fantastic new hero in Sikander Aziz! Pre-order your copy today!

In other news, I’m delighted to report that Ashlee Latimer has agreed to stay on past October to run all my social media accounts! No surprise: Ashlee is a huge hit with our demigod community, many of whom already knew her from her brilliant and pitch-perfect work with the Lightning Thief Musical social accounts. Please continue to make her feel welcome! I will remain off social media to focus on writing and on the TV/film adaptations we have underway. (Yes, I am continuing to write books, even though the main PJO-based story arc is done, but no, it’s too early to tell you what I’m writing.) If I do stop by to post anything directly to social, I will sign it -RR. Otherwise, when you see a post from my accounts, it will be the Voice of Ashlee, Oracle of Twitter, Sibyl of Instagram! She will keep you updated on all the latest news and maybe issue a prophecy or two. You never know.

Everybody stay safe and healthy out there, and keep reading!
