A quick thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our promotional events for the premiere of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, season two, which is now streaming on Disney+!
It was a whirlwind of a tour, and we had such a wonderful time seeing fans and hanging out with our incredible cast. Our young actors have worked so hard to bring you this amazing season, and they have been working just as hard on the press tour, but also having a lot of fun!

Becky and I walked the blue carpet for the LA premiere screening of episode 201.

The afterparty was on the rooftop terrace of the Academy Museum, and Disney+ definitely pulled out all the stops!

Kudos to the event team who constructed such an amazing environment for the evening, including this background for the red (blue) carpet.
From LA, the cast went to Brazil and had an incredible time! Sorry I couldn’t join for this, but thank you so much, Brazilian fans, for being so amazing and making the actors feel so welcomed and so loved. They couldn’t stop talking about how incredible you all were! Meanwhile Becky and I traveled a day earlier to London for a book event with Puffin, my UK publisher — the first event I had done in the UK in fifteen years. It was so much fun, and included a great song performance from Vasco Irmauz, who plays Percy in the Lightning Thief musical now traveling the UK.

In London, the stage of the Immanuel Center was transformed into a camp. Halfway through the performance, the Camp Jupiter banner fell down, which may be an omen that Jupiter is mad at me. I’ll have to sacrifice a stuffed animal, I guess.

I signed 800 copies of the deluxe edition Lightning Thief for attendees of the event, which was to honor the book’s 20th anniversary of publication.

We even got a video message from the wonderful Mark Oshiro, which the crowd loved!
Disney+ then sent us on to Madrid. This was the first time I’d ever visited Spain for a public event, and the city was beautifully decorated for Christmas time. I appreciated the opportunity to practice my Spanish! The crowd at our premiere screening for episode three was incredible, and it was so fun to watch 203 in Spanish with English subtitles.

The Christmas tree in Madrid easily rivals Rockefeller Center’s.
Now we are back in Boston for the holidays. Hope everyone has a wonderful festive season, a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and I hope you’re enjoying the new season of PJOTV!
