Projects from Gatesville

Thanks to the faculty and students at Gatesville Intermediate for the incredible work they did in preparation for my visit. It was an amazing day! In advance of the visit, the sixth graders had filmed their own video of the Lightning Thief and shared it via distance learning with other schools in Texas. On the day of the visit, I was met by costumed characters from the book. Clarisse gave me a tour of the school.

The sixth grade wing was transformed into Camp Half-Blood. Each classroom became a cabin, and each class decorated their own door. And the students did incredible artwork, which was displayed all over the school.
